Squash New Zealand is the national body responsible for the promotion and development of squash in New Zealand. We were established in 1932 and are a member of World Squash and Oceania Squash and are recognised by Sport New Zealand (formerly SPARC) as the official national body for squash.
Squash in New Zealand is administered by 11 district associations, all of which are overseen and supported by the staff and Executive Board of Squash New Zealand.
Squash New Zealand's vision is "New Zealanders Choosing Squash".
The Squash NZ Strategic Plan (2013-2015) has four strategic pillars:
Squash New Zealand held its 2012 AGM in Auckland on Saturday the 1st December.
Note: in previous years, the AGM has been held in conjunction with a NZ Squash Hall of Fame Induction. There were no inductions in 2012 so no function was held. If you would like to know more about the NZ Squash Hall of Fame please visit their website www.nzsquashhalloffame.co.nz
Squash New Zealand is an incorporated society, registered with the Department of Internal Affairs and is governed by a guiding set of Rules (or constitution).
The Squash New Zealand Executive Council meets at least 6 times per year between Annual General Meetings. Below are the minutes from these meetings.
In 2011 and 2012 Squash NZ have embarked on national roadshows to meet with clubs and Districts around the country.
We are currently planning a 2013 Roadshow - more details will be available in early 2013...
