Another good day for New Zealand at the World Men's Team Squash Championships in Denmark. The 10th seeded kiwis are through to the 9th place playoff, after a 2-1 victory over 12th seeded USA. Martin Knight got New Zealand off to a winning start, completing a comfortable 11-3, 11-3, 11-8 victory over US number three Preston Quick. However, the Americans were soon back on level terms, with Julian Illingworth accounting for kiwi number one Kashif Shuja in four. New Zealand was not to be denied though, with Campbell Grayson proving too good for US number two Gilly Lane, taking 40 minutes to wrap up an 11-4, 11-9, 11-4 victory.
