New Zealand has finished 10th at the World Men's Team Squash Championships in Denmark. The 10th seeded kiwis have lost 2-nil to fifth seeded Malaysia in the playoff for 9th place. Kashif Shuja made a promising start against Malaysian number one Mohd Azlan Iskander in the opening match of the tie, taking the first game 11-9. However, it was all down hill for Shuja from then on, with Iskander going on to win 9-11, 11-4, 11-9, 11-6. At 1-nil down, it fell on kiwi number three Martin Knight to keep his side in the best of three match tie. However, despite keeping Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan on court for 52 minutes, Knight went down in straight games, beaten 11-9, 11-9, 12-10. Meanwhile, top seeds Egypt have been crowned champions, bouncing back from a match down to beat third seeded France 2-1 in the final. Australia finished third after a 2-1 win over England.
