The top seeds have swept all the titles at the NZ Junior National Champs in Auckland |
A clean sweep for the title favourites on finals day at the New Zealand Junior National Squash Championships at the North Shore Club in Auckland.
Every event has been won by the top seed, with Lana Harrison and Lui Ngakuru-Syder claiming the glamour under 19 titles.
Harrison won under 19 girls title with a 3-1 victory over third seed Amanda Landers-Murphy, bouncing back from a game down to win 9-11, 11-2, 12-10, 11-7.
Ngakuru-Syder also needed four games to repel second seed Paul Coll in the under 19 boys final, winning 12-10, 11-8, 4-11, 11-6.
The most improved players have also been announced for the 2009 season. Paul Coll has been named as the most improved player in the boys ranks, while under 17 champion Megan Craig is the most improved girl. Craig was a member of the New Zealand team at this year's Junior Women's World Championships in Chennai.
