29/10/2009 - The College Squash Season is about to get under way in the USA. This prestigious competition involves many of the top Universities throughout the USA, including most of the Ivy League Universities. |
The College Squash Association (CSA) in America has released its 2009 – 2010 men's and women's college squash preseason rankings.
In the men's competition, Trinity College has maintained the top spot in the rankings, followed by Princeton, Rochester, Yale and Harvard Universities who make up the top five.
Whilst in the women's competition, Princeton University, the three-time defending national champions are ranked top, followed by Harvard, Trinity College, University of Pennsylvania and Yale.
The competition has an international flavour with teams having players from around the world. New Zealand's very own Mark Devoy coaches the Cornell University men's team, who are seeded sixth, whilst Julee Devoy coaches Cornells Women's team who are also seeded sixth.
