The top seed has been beaten in the semifinals, going down in a five game thriller to Finnish qualifier Henrik Mustonen.
Shuja had his customary slow start, losing the first game 13-11, before bouncing back to take the next two 11-5, 11-8. However, Mustonen would not be denied a place in the final, digging deep to take the match 13-11, 5-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-9.
Mustonen will play second seeded South African Steve Coppinger in the final.
