03/12/2009 - Rising New Zealand star Joelle King has finished the 2009 squash year in style with a career high ranking on the WISPA World Tour rankings. |
The 21-year-old kiwi has climbed two places to number 31 on the December list. King's previous high was 32, achieved in September this year. Shelley Kitchen remains New Zealand's top ranked player, despite being out of action with the impending birth of her first child. Kitchen has slipped two places to number 12 this month. Jaclyn Hawkes is now just five spots back in 17, one higher than she was on the November list, while Kylie Lindsay is down one to number 50. Meanwhile, Martin Knight is now New Zealand's top ranked player on the men's PSA Tour. Knight is up five players to number 45 on the December list, two clear of Campbell Grayson who is down two to number 47. Kashif Shuja is the only other kiwi in the top 100, improving two spots to number 54 this month, well shy of his career best of 36 set in April this year. Full rankings...
