A recurring hip injury has forced Louise Crome to call it quits in her international squash career |
New Zealand's Louise Crome has called it quits on her international squash career. The 31-year-old kiwi has been forced into retirement by a recurring hip injury, which has kept her off the court since December 2008. Crome first joined the WISPA world squash circuit in 1997, reaching a career high world ranking of 22 in August 2008. However, she missed the entire 2003 season due to a wrist injury. Crome says she is sad to be calling a premature end to her squash career, but is already planning her future off the court. "I have one semester left to finish on my MBA in Wellington and then I will focus on a new career, although I'm not sure where or what that is yet. "I am very excited about what the future holds".
