King shows class in Waikato

Joelle King has cruised into the second round of both the men's and women's draws at the Waikato Open in Hamilton
Two from two for New Zealand squash star Joelle King at the Waikato Open in Hamilton.

The 21-year-old is safely through to the second round in both the women's and men's draws.

King, the top seed in the women's draw, downed Waikato's Chloe Hoolihan 3-0 in her opening match, before knocking over Northland's Tate Matson 3-1 in the first round of the men's draw.

Second and third seeds Tamsyn Leevey and Lana Harrison also had straight games first up in the women's draw, but fourth seed Kylie Lindsay was pushed to five by Auckland's Georgina Shelton-Agar.

Men's top seed Grayson Campbell made light work of his opening match, beating Waikato's Mike Davis 3-0 while second seed Evan Williams also won in straight games against Auckland's Matt McHugh. Third seed George Crosby had to fight a little harder to beat Davis Brodie 3-1 but it was plain sailing for fourth seed Alex Grayson who was a 3-0 winner against Steve Martin.
