04/05/2010 - The English men's team have won their 18th successive European Squash title, overcoming France in the final.
Meanwhile France took out the Women's title, upsetting England in the semi finals and ending their 32 year unbeaten European Championships record before beating the Netherlands in the final. |
The men's final saw England defeating France 4 - 0, the 10th time France has lost in the final in 11 years. The English team of James Willstrop, Nick Matthew, Daryl Selby and Peter Barker had too much depth for the French team, who were headed by former world number 1 Thierry Lincou.
In the women's final the Netherlands managed to overcome France 2 - 1, after losing seven finals in a row.
