It took Nicol David a mere 24 minutes to win the women's final over Hong Kong's Rebecca Chiu, winning the match 11-6, 11-7, 11-7.
In the men's final Azlan led 11-8, 11-4, 3-0 when his opponent, Pakistan's Aamir Atlas Khan, conceded the match with persistent pain in the right shin.
