Seeds to sort out titles in Auckland

22/05/2010 - The top two seeds will contest both the men's and women's open finals at the Remuera/Auckland Open
An intriguing battle is looming in the men's final at the Remuera/Auckland Squash Open at the Remuera Rackets Club.

New Zealand's top two players will square off in the title decider, with world number 39 Campbell Grayson taking on Martin Knight, ranked just three places below him.

Grayson won through to the final with an 11-4, 11-2, 11-3 victory over fourth seed Lance Beddoes, while Knight downed third seeded Alex Grayson 11-8, 11-9, 11-4.

Meanwhile, the top two seeds will also meet in the women's final, with world number 21 Joelle King taking on 18-year-old Aucklander Lana Harrison.

King cruised into the last two with an 11-1, 11-4, 11-1 victory over Auckland's Rachel McLeod, while Harrison battled to a 15-13, 11-6, 12-10 win over Waikato's Kylie Lindsay. It was sweet revenge for Harrison, after being comprehensively beaten by Lindsay in the third place playoff at the Waikato Open earlier this month.
