29/06/2010 - The National Club Masters Teams Event was held at Lugton Park over the weekend 25/27 June. Ruakura club helped out with extra courts. |
In the Championship Division there were 7 teams in 2 pools The 2 pool winners played off in a hard fought final, with Hamilton beating Christchurch 4/1.
Craig Endres beat Alan Henderson
Stephen O'Toole beat Ed Post
Lawrence Skurr beat Peter Turnbull
Judith Casbolt beat Shona Kaio
Karen Walton lost to Kay Newman.
There were 6 teams in the social division, which was won by Ruakura who beat Kawaroa Park in the final.
The weekend went very well, with entertainment after play on the Friday night, and Test Match rugby on the Saturday night.
