New Zealand has made a confident start to the teams event at the World Junior Men's Squash Championships in Ecuador. The 11th seeded kiwis have thumped Guatemala 3-0, winning all three matches in straight games. Bryce Redman started the rout, with an 11-2, 11-5, 11-2 demolition of Antonio de la Torre, followed by Paul Coll's 11-3, 11-10, 11-4 victory over Bryan Bonilla. Lance Beddoes then wrapped up a dominant day for New Zealand with an 11-3, 11-2, 11-8 win over Luis Pedro Flores. New Zealand will play sixth seeded Mexico tomorrow, with both sides expected to go through to the last 16, barring a shock defeat for Mexico to Guatemala.
