New Zealand has finished sixth at the World Junior Men's Squash Championships in Ecuador. The 11th seeded kiwis have been beaten 2-1 by fourth seeded India in the playoff for fifth place. Paul Coll got New Zealand off to a winning start, with a superb victory over Aditya Jagtap, who was seeded sixth in the individual event. Coll took out the match in straight games, winning 12-10, 11-6, 11-5. New Zealand's hopes for yet another monumental upset at the tournament were lifted even further when Lance Beddoes took the first game 17-15 against India's number two Ravi Dixit. However, the 17-year-old kiwi could not kick on, losing the next three games 11-5, 11-8, 11-3 to leave the tie all square at 1-all. Ramit Tandon then grabbed victory for India with a straight games win over kiwi number three Bryce Redman, winning 11-9, 11-5, 11-5. Sixth place is New Zealand's best finish since 1992. Result...
