Fatigue doesn't appear to have been a problem for the top seeds at the Ocean Ford New Zealand National Squash Championships in Whakatane.
Six of the country's top players have just returned from an invitational doubles event in Melbourne, but they have quickly switched into singles mode without too many problems.
Jaclyn Hawkes, Joelle King, Tamsyn Leevey and Kylie Lindsay have all safely navigated their way through the first two rounds of the women's event without dropping any games between them, while it was a similar case for Campbell Grayson and Martin Knight in the men's event.
In fact, it was a good day for all the seeded players, with only two of the top eight seeds in either draw bowing out. Men's seventh seed Lance Beddoes lost his second round match to Philip Buscke 3/1 while eighth seed Christopher Lloyd went down 3-2 to Bryce Redman.
