This player masters the most difficult and most elegant of all shots – this weapon is the drop shot and the secret of this shot is technique. The touch player is known to crush an opponent's spirit with this single shot. Accuracy is the key and all players know that a bad attempt at a drop is an instant opening for an opponent. To perform a touch drop the player needs to get very low, extend fully and hold the racket almost parallel to the floor, the player is trying to create that pinpoint accuracy. The closer the player can get to the target area, the more precise the shot.
