Seeds rule the roost on finals day

The seeded players have dominated finals day at the South Island Junior Age Group Championships in Christchurch
The top seeds have dominated the final day of the South Island Junior Age Group Squash Championships in Christchurch.

Edward Dromgool has led the charge with a commanding victory in the under 19 boys event, overwhelming second seed Michael Brocks 9/0 9/6 9/1.

It was a similar story in the under 19 girls event, with Amanda Landers-Murphy demolishing Kenna Sugrue 9/0 9/0 9/1.

Meanwhile, two families in particualr have a little extra to celebrate.

The Redman family in Napier is toasting not one, but two age group champions, with brothers Bryce and Todd Redman winning the under 17 boys and under 15 boys titles respectively. Not to be outdone, the Bennett family in Christchurch is also celebrating a double act, with Joely Bennett winning the under 13 girls and her brother Todd taking out the under 11 boys.
