11/07/08 Injury has ruled Lui Syder out of the New Zealand team for the Junior Men's World Champs in Switzerland |
There has been a late change to the New Zealand team for the Junior Men's World Squash Championships in Switzerland later this month.
Auckland teenager Lui Syder is struggling with an injury, and has been ruled out of the world champs as a result.
Fellow Aucklander Alex Grayson will take his place in the team. Alex has been in superb form in recent weeks, shrugging off the disappointment of missing out on the world championship team to reach the quarterfinals of the South Island Senior Championships and the semifinals of the North Island Senior Championships. He joins teammates Evan Williams, Cameron Jamieson and Keegan Burkhart in action at the North Island Junior Age Group Championships in Henderson this weekend as they cap off preparations for the world champs.
