Tuesday night the Hamilton B mens team had beaten Cambridge to secure one of the two top trophies.

Natasha Fowles and Donna Brown set Hamilton up beatifully with straight set wins in the first two rounds, then Sarah Coombes took the first game off Kara Swanson, effectively clinching the title for Hamilton. That match went on to be a great battle with Coombs eventually beating Swanson 9/7 in the fifth.

On Tuesday night the Hamilton men beat Cambridge 3/1 in Cambridge.

Cambridge took the early lead in front of a big home crowd when Ash Boyd downed Pete Turnbull in straight sets. Russell Menzies (Ham) then took on Kevin Anderson which turned out to be a huge battle and the match of the night. Menzies was down 6-1 in the fifth and final set before
staging a comeback and winning 9-7.

Hamilton's Paul Kennett at No.1 proved too experienced for Scott Calder, winning that match in 3.

With the match score in Hamilton's favour at 2-1, Cambridge's Luke Gordon had all the pressure on him to beat Steven O'Toole. O'Toole started strongly winning the first two games, but Gordon looked the fitter player in the third, winning 9-4. O'Toole played smarter squash in the fourth and clinched the match and the trophy for Hamilton.
