Shelley Kitchen (World Number 7) exacted revenge on Ireland's Madeline Perry (World Number 15) in one of the women's semi-finals, winning in four games. Perry had beaten Kitchen in the Hong Kong Open last month.
Earlier Kiwi number 2 Jackie Hawkes (World Number 19) had beaten Australian Kasey Brown (World Number 13) in a thrilling five set match with Hawkes fighting off two match points in the third. Hawkes' determination put pressure on the Aussie creating mistakes which Hawkes' pounced on.
Josh Greenfield Kiwi number 4, earns his final against Mohd Azlan Iskandar (Number 13) after a mammonth semi-final against Campbell Grayson.
With top seen Ong Beng Hee (World Number 9) withdrawing through injury on Friday night Greenfield faced fellow Kiwi Grayson this afternoon in a thrilling semi-final encounter.
The first set was won by Grayson 22/20 in an epic struggle. Greenfield took the next two sets comfortably then Grayson fought back in the fourth but Greenfield's short game proved too strong in the end, with Greenfield winning in four.
He now meets Azlan who dispatched the New Zealand number 1 Kashif Shuja in three games. Shuja fought strongly but was outclassed by the number 13 in the world.
Finals and third and fourth play-offs on the all-glass court at Bayfair Shopping Centre start at noon tomorrow (Sunday).
3rd and 4th playoffs at noon: Campbell Grayson vs Kashif Shuja, Madeline Perry Kasey Brown.
Finals 2pm: Shelley Kitchen vs Jackie Hawkes, Josh Greenfield vs Mohd Azlan Iskandar.
