13/08/2008 - The Henderson Squash Club gallery was treated to a wonderful display of international play last night.

Black Knight sponsored World Number 5 and British Open Champion David Palmer took on New Zealand current Under 15 champion and Auckland Under 19 champion, Henderson junior Lance Beddoes and New Zealand Number 1 and World Number 41, Kashif Shuja in two entertaining and thrilling matches.
Beddoes, A2 was first on court and acquitted himself very well, showing maturity beyond his years playing good length and great touch round the court. Palmer acknowledged his opponent's play saying Lance was good! Palmer won 11/8 11/6.
Shuja was next on and although he went down in three sets, he battled hard against Palmer who proved too consistent in the end winning 11/9 11/5 15/13.
The Henderson Club looked fantastic and after the matches, a dinner was followed by an informal talk with Palmer and Shuja hosted by Paul Wright.
