School pride is on the line with an added twist of North versus South to add to the occasion in this weekend's New Zealand Secondary Schools Squash Championships in New Plymouth.
Auckland Grammar is top seed in the 32 strong boy's main draw, and will meet Fielding in the opening round tomorrow.
Grammar's main rival is expected to be Christchurch Boy's High, who are carrying South Island hopes as the only South Island team in the top eight. Christchurch Boy's will play Orewa in the first round tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Waikato Diocesan is favoured to take out the nine team girl's event, and has the benefit of a bye in the opening round. Auckland's Epsom Girl's Grammar is second seed, taking on Fielding first up tomorrow, while Christchurch Girl's High School and Auckland's St Cuthberts round out the top four.
