Grammar crusied through the tournament not dropping a match and although second seeds Christchurch Boys battled hard with their number two Paul Coll pushing Grammar's Preshin Manmindar to five sets, they couldn't stop the Grammar juggernaut from a clean sweep.
In the playoff for third, Plamerston North beat Whangarei boys High School three matches to one.
The girls' final was also between the top two seeds although both teams had to battle hard in their semi-fianl matches. Dio's semi against 5th seeds Te Puke, who had knocked out reigning champions St Cuthberts in the quarter-finals, went down to the fifth match and Central Southland College pushed second seeds Epson Girls also to the fifth game.
