Martin Knight has been beaten in the semifinals of the National Capital Open in Maryland |
The giant killing run has come to an end for unseeded New Zealander Martin Knight at the PSA world squash tour's National Capital Open in Maryland.
After beating the fourth and eighth seeds in the opening two rounds, Knight has finally come unstuck in the semifinals, going down 11-4 11-2 11-6 to second seeded American Julian Illingworth.
Knight will now head to Richmond, Virginia, where he will attempt to qualify for next week's North American Open, a tournament featuring the top eight players in the world.
