Shelley Kitchen's ranking is on the improve again after a good month in Malaysia |
New Zealand's Shelley Kitchen is back on the improve in the latest world squash rankings. Kitchen slipped three places to number 13 on the February list, but winning two titles in two weeks in Kuala Lumpur has seen the 29-year-old kiwi rebound one place to number 12 this month. They are Kitchen's first titles in more than 12 months. Fellow New Zealander Jaclyn Hawkes has maintained her place at 16 on the ranking list, while Louise Crome has edged down one spot to 25. Joelle King suffered her first backward movement in seven months, dropping two places to 42 this month, while Kylie Lindsay is up one to a career high 51.
But by far the biggest jump in ranking for the kiwis was teenager Amanda Cranston, who burst into the top 100 at number 86 on the list, up 24 places from last month. Meanwhile, it's all good news for the top New Zealand men, with Kashif Shuja leading an upward trend, climbing one place to equal his career best of 37 in the world. Campbell Grayson has reached a career high at number 61, up three from his February ranking, while Martin Knight has charged up six places to a best ever ranking of 66 and Joshua Greenfield is up 10 to 104.
