What is iSquash?
iSquash is an online squash tool for clubs and squash players, that includes various modules.

iSquash Tournament Module
After extensive testing the iSquash tournament module is now available for clubs to use to run their tournaments. A user-manual is available here: Manual Tournament Module April 2013 (1.7Mb)
Please note that although extensive testing has taken place, the development of the module is still very much a learning curve, for clubs and Squash New Zealand alike. If you are experiencing problems, or would like help with the module, please contact us.
Players can also use the tournament module to enter tournaments (an available list of tournaments will appear on their iSquash homepage). This Information Sheet provides advice and guidance on how to do this.
History of iSquash
The development of the Squash IT Platform was highlighted by the Squash New Zealand Strategic Plan in 2008 as a key driver for the development of squash in New Zealand. It was seen as an innovative use of technology as an enabler to clubs and as a sport development tool that would help squash to work together.
Changes to J Grade Points Adjustments
There have been some changes to the way points are adjusted for J Grade matches.
Through the first half of the 2012 season, we have received a lot of feedback about how difficult it is for players to progress through the J grades when they can only win 5 points for beating members of the opposite sex. After consulting with districts, parents and clubs, we have made a few changes which will hopefully improve the situation. As of today, Tuesday 10 July 2012, the minor changes outlined below will apply to all matches played between J grade players.
A discussion paper was released in May to ask for comments on suggested J Grade Adjustments (for boy vs girl matches). The paper was distributed to all districts, and placed on our website for comment by interested individuals. We are very happy with the amount of feedback that we received. Not only did this provide a large number of wise suggestions, it also proved that the issue was an important one to the squash community.
As such, we are delighted to be able to announce a new points adjustment system for boy vs. girl matches in E2 (including J Grade). As of today, Tuesday 10 July 2012, the winner will receive 30 points, and the loser will lose 10 points in inter-gender matches below 1200 points. We have also extended the 'safety net' which prevents players from dropping down grades to all of the J grades (it was already in place to prevent people from dropping from E2 - F, and F - J1).
These changes are intended to help speed up the progress of enthusiastic juniors moving through the J grades and foster their enjoyment of the game. We will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate the results of the changes, to make sure they are working as intended.
